One of the pleasures of owning a hobby shop is the great people that you meet. Yesterday we had the extreme pleasure of attending the TraiNgang’s 3rd annual barbeque at confederation Park. Several operators gave train rides around the park and a good time was had by all.
I would like to give special thanks to Tom Carr and Dick Sutcliffe who were my engineers.

For those that have been following the web site closely you might have noticed that some of the products have come down and others have changed slightly. I spent much of today updating what product we do have on the web site and will now begin to move on to adding more product onto the site.
If you check the gallery section you will see pictures of our new store and you can see that the pictures show a lot more inventory than is currently on this site. We expect that within the next few months a substantial poriton of our inventory will be available for web purchase.

Things are now starting to come together. The store is about 90% done and the remainder is going to be done over the next few weeks and months.
We have updated the web site with some gallery photographs of the new store. You can see that the inventory is much more than shown on the web site, although we hope to begin adding more inventory to the web site later this month.

Things are continuing to progress in the new store with some new product arriving. Signage in the store is next.
For our customers convenience we are now accepting American Express® in addition to Visa©, MasterCard©, Interac©, and cash.

We are completing the arrangement of the store and hope to have everything ‘done’ in a few days. Once that happens then we can decide what we are going to do with the extra space and what lines to expand or add.
As many of you are aware, there are plans for a train layout in the front of the store. Some of you have suggested a ‘design the layout’ contest which we are considering for later this year.

Organization and re-organization continues. We seem to be making progress and things are returning to ‘normal.’ Another few days then things should be done and I can move on to working on other areas of the web site.
We have found most of the unclaimed special orders and will likely be making reminder calls to those who have not picked up their orders.
New product is arriving this week so we will have to find new homes for that product.
Our sign installer surprised us by coming today to install the canopy sign. Many thanks to them for their hard work.
